Marine Corps SIPRNET – Premier Support Services
In November, World IT Solutions received the call to provide 19 I.T. Professionals by January 1st to operate and maintain “Legacy” SIPRNET services at every Marine Corps Installation in Japan and Hawaii. We delivered all resources on time and within budget!
Project Scope and Description
The Marine Corps Installation Western Pacific (MCIWESTPAC) required on-site and/or remote premier support for the operation and maintenance of its “Legacy” SIPRNET environment. MCIWESTPAC also required planning and engineering support for the transition to the regional MAGTF Information Technology Support Center (MITSC) SIPRNET environment. We provided certification training to help meet DoD Directive 8570.1. Daily responsibilities included management of the Base Area Network (BAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Help Desk Services, Desktop Support, and Network Services (authentication, directory services, e-mail, print services, etc.). Each member of our team was hand selected in order to ensure that only the highest quality, cleared professionals were delivered to our client in support of this project. Precise services included:
Network Infrastructure Engineers
Configures, builds, installs, tunes and operates network routers, switches, content switches, firewalls and other supporting network and security related systems. Provides input as requested to USMC Head, Network Systems Branch, G-6 Division, MCBJ regarding the technical direction of the project.
Certifications: CCIE, CCNP
Systems Administrators
Performs systems administration for organizational servers, including administering system-level security procedures, establishes and maintains users’ accounts, assigns file permissions and establishes password and account policies. Under the direction of USMC Head, Network Systems Branch, G-6 Division, MCBJ, installs, upgrades, configures, tests, and maintains network operating system and network application systems to include Microsoft Windows WinNT, 2000/2003/2008,XP, VISTA and Exchange.

Help Desk Supervisors
Directs/leads dedicated help desk technicians that include contractors and military personnel. Directs and coordinates help desk team’s activities to manage and implement a regional SIPRNET help desk.
Certifications: Security +, A+, MCP
Desktop Support Technicians
Provides on-site support for the installation and configuration of desktop computer, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines. Provides on-site support to resolve “desktop” trouble tickets.
