Doug Allen is a native of Alabama who transitioned into founding World Information Technology Solutions (WITS) from the US Navy after more than twenty-four years in Naval Communications, Information Technology and Telecommunications on ships and military installations around the globe. In creating World Information Technology Solutions, LLC (WITS) he brought from the Navy a managerial philosophy that clients as well as team members should be constantly informed, empowered and motivated to work together toward a quality goal. Prior to founding WITS, Mr. Allen was in charge of Telecommunications for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) at the Pentagon. In that role, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations and coordinated secure video teleconferencing sessions for the Secretary of the Navy, the CNO and top admirals. In addition, he managed budget and procurement and led transition planning for the National Capital Region Navy and Marine Corps Intranet. Previous commands included leading communications at the Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in Puerto Rico. In that role, he supervised the establishment of a $6.2-million project that provided telecommunications connectivity to more than 3-thousand subscribers and 63 commands.  Mr. Allen maintains close relationships with current and retired senior military officers as well as with top executives of major prime contractors in the Information Technology and Telecommunications sectors, closing numerous partnerships with them.

Customers range from the large US Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) to a county school system in the state of Maryland. WITS senior management also has demonstrated past performance in designing, building and managing information technology systems for medical centers and financial institutions.
